Reckless Justice: Did the Saturday Night Raid of Congress Trample the Constitution?"

I can't quite get my arms around this story. On one hand there is the Separation of Powers in the Constitution and all that jazz. On the other there are the Republican Congresspeople so up in arms about it, that they are all out going to bat for an African American Democrat's Rights. It completely boggles the mind from my perspective.

Obviously they have something to hide and so, maybe Gonzales should win this one and take them all down. On the other hand, I'm really not up for an all out dictatorship in the United States.

Paul's got some good insight and on that line... I wonder how Sensenbrenner is going to feel about the PATRIOT Act once he's voted out of office by Bryan Kennedy in November. He'll be a regular citizen then and won't be able to hide behind the Wall of Priviledge he's been under for the last 20 years that he so suddenly is all up in arms to protect.

These people really are a trip. Does it always have to be about ME ME ME?

Did you hear about Rep. Darrell Issa's (R-Calif.) call for Al Gonzales to be impeached over this?

I tend to agree with what Mr. Soglin wrote regarding Sensenbrenner.
