UPDATE!!! Voting Rights Act of 2006-Sensenbrenner Holding Strong, Green Waivering--ACT NOW!!!

I posted only a few days ago on the unprecedented actions of the US Congress on renewing the most important legislation of the 20th Century, expiring provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 2006.

The bipartisan bill is perhaps the best legislation written by Congress in the 21st century and was heralded in by an unlikely suspect in F. Jim Sensenbrenner.

Sensenbrenner deserves a call to thank him for his unwaivering support against a sudden round of sabotage attacks from the Radical Right in the form of amendments that water down the bill.

Please give him a call and thank him for his strong support of the right of all citizens to have a voice in the Democratic process.

Call his office now to thank him and ask him to hold strong to the original bill.
Washington Office: Phone: (202) 225-5101 Fax: (202) 225-3190
Main District Office: Phone: (262) 784-1111 Fax: (262) 784-9437

Mark Green on the other hand is waivering and needs to hear from his constituents NOW, that the right to vote is sacred to us as Wisconsinites and Americans, and that any amendments at this stage are unacceptable... the legislation needs to be passed in it's originally introduced form without changes, period.

Call Mark Green immediately and tell him to stand strong against the Radical Right's amendment ploys to water down the Voting Rights Act of 2006.
Washington Office: Phone: (202) 225-5665 Fax: (202) 225-5729
Main District Office: Phone: (920) 437-1954 Fax: (920) 437-1978

Today and Tomorrow YOU can make a difference in protecting the right to vote for all US citizens. ACT Now!!!

P.S. If you live in another state or district, please call your Congressman (www.congress.org) and tell them to vote for the original Voting Rights Act of 2006 without Amendments...and call them now!!!
