Convenient Timing for Bush...Again...

I posted last night on a story that Senator Arlen Specter sent a letter to Vice President Dick Cheney chastising him for his lack of disclosure, obsfucation and obdurance on the NSA wiretapping issue. It was nearly a declaration of war on the issue and I fully expected to turn on the television this morning and see all the news stations flipping out over the news. After all, when a sitting Senator with his rank calls out the White House, it's news. It's big news.

So unbelieveably coincidentally after marking and chasing him for what they admit was months, the Administration decides last night that it was the best time to take out al-Zarqawi in a raid. Now call me cynical, but they say they've been on his tail for months, they say they knew unequivocably that it was him...no question and they say that this was the first opportunity to take him out...

I find it all so convenient for them. The news SHOULD be that they are on the verge of impeachment, instead, it's that they are heroes.

Not ONE mention of the Specter letter ALL morning long...

This reminds me of Osama tapes being released days before an election. It reminds me of terror threats that mysteriously go up just before elections and back down immediately following them. It reminds me that they seem to have no shame in manipulating the media and the public.

Wag the dog, wag the dog...

Is there a conspiracy you won't buy into?

It's time to take off the foil hat, Crawford.

1. I didn't "buy into" a conspiracy. I pointed out a coincidence.

2. I'd like to note that the convenience of the timing of the decision to kill al-Zarqawi with the interesting side effect of knocking an anti-Bush story off the front page was something I noticed first. You can't "buy in" to something you thought of...

3. I call it like I see it. That's why so many people read my blog.

Thanks for bringing the Specter Cheney letter to my attention. After reading it, I was sure Specter was up for re-election this year. I was wrong. I'm writing my own post right now on the topic. This better get some more media play than it's getting. This is huge!!!!

It's not Wag the Dog, Renee - it's all SMOKE AND MIRRORS. If we are looking at the wonders of KILLING al Zarqawi- why would we care about our rights being trampled once again???

And - you know, we are all so thrilled about murder - we are.

Now we have to spearhead an effort to stop the American Thugs and Terrorists (AT&T) from screwing with our internet freedoms.... no?

You keep on bloggin' girl!!!!
