Politics in Wisconsin as they roll up to every level... and some other thoughts that may cross my mind are explored here from my lefty point of view. My values shape my opinions. You'll always find them in here. Let's have some fun exploring why Liberal values are American values!

Kids In Prison for Sex

I know 16, 17 and 18 year old "children" as Palin likes to say IN PRISON and living with sex offender status for having sex before their 18th birthday. Its called child molestation or statutory rape. At least for people who's parents aren't on a Presidential campaign tour...

Somehow, I'm not surprised that the same people who brought us those ridiculous laws are suddenly so willing to apply a different standard.

This is how they work. Tell everyone else to live up to impossible moral standards, pass laws to enforce those standards and then when someone close to them crosses those standards, forgiveness becomes paramount.

"Leave that family alone." is the talking point du jour... but this is why I won't... They won't leave MY family alone.

They wanna dictate that my child learn abstinence only, when it has been proven over and over that it doesn't work.

They wanna dictate what kind of healthcare I as a woman have access to, they don't think I have the capacity to make those choices, and then they make dangerous life threatening irresponsible decisions (see previous post #5) that put lives in danger.

They wanna force my kids to learn their religion (mine be damned) in public school.

They are using their children as props and then telling us not to discuss them.

They are racist, sexist, and hateful and mean. I really dislike that woman. She represents everything I despise about the GOP. ME, ME, ME, ME, ME, ME....

Just the pure selfishness of accepting the nomination with her daughter in such a precarious position. I have 5 months on the boyfriend disappearing into the Alaskan wilderness...

The entire point of all of these programs that attack the reproductive freedom of young women (contraceptive equity, choice, birth control, abstinence only, etc) is to put in place a social culture that actually will encourage young girls to have children young. I don't have time to go into this in a lot of detail, but keeping girls out of college and barefoot and pregnant has been the goal all along. That's why they parade their daughter on the stage like a trophy. They accomplished their goal and to the people they are talking to, that young pregnant 17 year old is a victory.

The double talk express is in full swing.

On another topic Michael Reagan just explained on CNN why he's a nasty angry man.
